Pizza doesn’t always have to go on a pizza dough, if you look through my recipes you will find different ways to serve a pizza. This was uses a whole Ciabatta which is a lovely soft white Italian bread. Don’t get to hung up on my recipe, like all pizzas there’s no limit to what you can do, but maybe this will give you a couple of ideas, The recipe below is to make two different pizzas.
1 ciabatta
Soft garlic and herb cheese
mozzarella cheese
Goats Cheese
Emmenthal cheese
Chopped ham
1 Thinly sliced Tomato
Sun dried toms soaked in olive oil
Half an onion sliced
Garlic stuffed olives
Tomato puree
Now I did say you can build a pizza anyway you choose, but the one part I recommend is the spreading of the garlic cream cheese over the bread, this soaks into the bread and is gorgeous.
Spread tom puree on top.
Then start building, tomatoes and onion
Sun dried tomatoes and ham
2 different Pizzas from here, on One, mozzarella and on the other Goats cheese.
Garlic stuffed olives on to the goat cheese pizza and then sprinkle with Emmenthal cheese,
Then bake in a hot oven, remove when the bread starts to burn.
Serve
Yes, Rosie – I like these too, specially ‘cos it’s quick and when you’ve been out shopping, that’s what you need.I do prefer them just done until the cheese melts, not until the bread burns, due to my dental problems, but otherwise, very enjoyable.
I also serve them as apĂ©ros amuse-gueules when we have guests, just cut into sort of ‘squares’ – I also do the same thing with baguettes or ‘gros-pain’ for aperos. Problem is – they’re too popular!
