I’m still using the tomatoes and garlic I grew last year, but apart from ones I pickled I’m out of onions, I’m growing extra this year.
250gms of Minced Beef
4 Garlic cloves
Parmesan Cheese
1 chopped onion
Tin of tomatoes
Worcester Sauce
salt, pepper beef stock and a half tin of water (use it to wash out your tomatoes tin)
White sauce, Butter flour and milk
For this delicious garlic bread, blend together; 6 cloves of garlic Chives Tbsp Butter Splash of olive oil Salt and pepper
You also need a half baguette and a cheese such as Gouda or Emmenthal
Finely chop the onion and fry in a little oil, add the beef, once the beef has started to colour add the garlic and tomatoes. Make a Bechamel (Equal quantities of butter and flour, cooked together, slowly add cold milk stirring all the time to make a white sauce) A hint, if your making a white sauce to go in food like a bolognaise use black pepper, but if using the sauce to cover food, such as fish avoid black pepper, it makes the sauce look burnt.
Once the beef is cooked put half of it in a dish, cover with lasagna sheets Put half of the white sauce on top and add the rest of the bolognaise on top of that.
Add another row of lasagna sheets, then the rest of the white sauce, Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake at 200c
In a food processor put the garlic butter, chives and olive oil and blitz to a paste, butterfly cut the baguette
Spread the garlic butter onto the bread Then cover with cheese,
Put in the oven till the cheese has melted.
And serve
