One thing were never short of at Rosies is leeks, we have them growing in the hundreds.
Pick the leeks
The ingredients
Short crust pastry
About 3 leeks
2tsp butter
100 gms Bacon lardons
Black pepper
1 cup Creme Fraishe
2 Cups Emmenthal cheese
Preheat your oven to 190°C – 375°F
Top tail and slice the leeks
Fry the leeks and Bacon in the butter until the leeks are soft
Add the creme fraiche
and the cheese and season with pepper, usually there’s no need to add salt as there’s plenty in the bacon.
Line a flan dish and pour the mixture into it.
And bake for about 30 minutes
Eat hot or cold. Delicious.
