Rosies Carrot Cake


Although this is a carrot cake recipe, try replacing the carrot with an apple and hazelnut.

Shortly after finishing the work on our house we was featured in a magazine called Breton and since then Ive been featured in a few magazines for my food.  My two sons now have their own families but live near by and Im now the proud grandmother of two little boys. Both of my daughter in laws are both great cooks.  My cooking is home cooking, but often with a French twist, my videos are not there to impress but inspire, So many people say that they cant cook, but we all can, you just got to give it a go.

 

 

 

 

 

This recipe uses a pot of yoghurt then the cleaned empty pot is used as a measure for the other ingredients

1 x 125g pot of Yoghurt
2 pots sugar
3 eggs
3 pots flour
1 packet levure chimique (or 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder)
1 pot sunflower oil
Vanilla essence
1 Carrot (grated).

Preheat oven to 180°C
Empty one pot of plain yoghurt into a mixing bowl, then rinse and dry the plastic pot.
Add 2 pots full of sugar and 3 eggs and beat together with a fork.

Add 3 pots of flour and the packet of levure, then mix again
Add 1/2-1 pot of sunflower oil and grated carrot then stir again.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
